The year is almost over

Crazy Frog vs Yarilo - garmoshka-core drum'n'bass mix
This one is a funny thing ))) Sometimes my friends formed a joke-band named "Yarilo" and started to perform some Russian and world-music hits in a funny way accompanied by accordeon. I've then made a remix on their performing of famous "Crazy Frog" theme (originally "Axel F" electronic theme from "Beverly Hills Cop" movie) in Propellerheads Reason. Here's what I made.

Roxette cover
Another not finished work. In early March, 2006 I've been working on cover version of "Listen to your heart" by Roxette. I didn't even get to recording guitars for it. Here's what I've finished on.
This record doesn't contain any live instrument. Drums are from EZ Drummer, piano - Edirol Orchestral, bass is done with my favourite Fender Jazz Bass SoundFont, different synth sounds - Korg Legacy Collection.

A little experiment
Recently my friend and me decided to rewrite one of the most beautiful songs of our old band "DiZkordanT". This was some kind of indie hard-electronical band, and it wasn't very popular, as always ))) Anyway, I decided also to present parts of upcoming work in this blog. I'll rewrite everything but vocals, and will put parts of the song here for you to look at them. And now, let me introduce you the song itself.
Song is called "Morning" ("Utro" in russian). This was the last serious song our band ever released. Musical part was composed and performed by Kasyanov, and lyrics and vocal parts were performed by Salut. Song was written in 2005. I always wanted our band to be more live, less electronic, but this song doesn't fit in this rules ))) This is one of the things I'd like to correct by reinterpreting it. And Kasyanov doesn't like song's arrangement at all by now. So, we have some general ideas about how to rewrite it, and we'll try. Stay tuned.

Google Analytics and Blogger.com
As you know, it is not trivial to insert Google Analytics tracking code into your blog on Blogger.com. Google just doesn't see your code - it says that tracking code is installed, but gets no data from your pages (you see "Tracking code installed - waiting for data" on your analytics page). In order to make your tracking code work, you should do following:
1) Go to your blog template editing page
2) Paste your tracking code into <head>...<head> section of template
3) Make sure Google detected code on your page by updating it's status in Analytics interface
4) Then wrap actual call of urchinTracker in Javascript's eval function like this:
Click "Save" and it should work! I don't know what actually prevents Google Analytics code from running properly, but wrapping it with eval() call works.

Let's start with a song.
So let's start with a song ))) In early march, 2007 I wrote this song and recorded it. But, because of my total stupidity, I just didn't finish it. I played with arrangement and mastering for about a week, but didn't decide what variant would be final. Also, there is no text for this song. I thought I'll write it myself but - as you already know - I'm just too lazy. So if you'd like to help me with it - just go on!

Let's do it
So for now, I don't feel like I can do anything but just start again. Just start again everything I've failed to do earlier. So I'll do it. I've just put new strings on my guitar - which isn't even mine - and that's the thing that made me opening this blog. So let's try! Never before did I write completely in English, so that's the thing that I'll do first time in my life ))) Not only things I've fucked up, but the new things also, you see )))) Let's go on!
